Task 1 and Task 2 comparison
Task 1 comparing
in task one i was doing an advergame which is an advertisement for a product but using it as if it is a game you can play. i looked at positive emotion advert for coca cola. i compared them i found two significant differences in the advergame it is more entertaining and less serious but in this advert the positive emotion advert for coca cola it was a lot more interesting to watch. this is a picture below of the shoot the gold iPhone advert and as you can see it looks very boring but the point behind it is to entertain while also viewing the advert for the product.
this is the advert of the advergame and as you can see there are 8 iPhones and two of them are gold the idea of the game is to shoot the two gold iPhones so that you can be the first to get the gold iPhone.
the video of the coca cola advert is interesting because it is completely interesting in two different ways one is that the advert has a positive emotional feel behind it and it is meant to have a warm atmosphere and this advert has no game aspect to it at all so this is a more deep and interesting advert than the actual advergame. you can watch the video underneath the wayne Rooney advert.
Task 2 comparing
Comparing celebrity endorsement and unique selling point
this is a football advert which is featuring wayne Rooney this is completely different to unique selling point in a number of different ways. firstly the football which is being advertised isn't unique it dosent have something no other football has. were as in the coca cola zero advert it is unique because it has the sweet taste of any other coca cola but with no sugar. the coca cola zero advert is different compared to the wayne Rooney football advert. this is because in the football advert it advertises using wayne Rooney. which is using a celebrity to sell its product. the text saying the worlds best ball. shows the consumer that. if wayne Rooney is holding the ball it must mean in some way that the ball is special in some ways. were as in the coca cola zero advert it has facts to support it as it says coca cola zero has no sugar but still has the taste of normal coca cola. underneath is a picture of the coca cola zero advert and there are to significant differences between them both.

as you can see in this image it says real coca cola taste and zero calories. above the image says the worlds best ball. the advert above is a clear use of persuasive celebrity endorsement. then the advert below says real coca cola taste and zero calories the coca cola advert uses unique selling point and the wayne Rooney football advert uses celebrity endorsement.

Task 1: Sectors, Platforms and Consumption
In our Generation games have become a very big part of our day to day life. so therefore advertisements have taken different approaches, instead of making short videos traditionally or still images. But adverts have taken a much more exotic change by making advert games like the one above. The reason adverts do this is so that it engages its audience and helps them to interact and get a much more clear understanding of the products. As you can see above this is a clear example of an advert game and its task is to shoot the gold i phone. It also says above 'Be the first to get the Gold iPhone'. this advert in a way draws you to playing this game as it says on the top left hand side 'limited time offer' so this will want to draw you so you can play the game. but at the end of this gaming aspect of the advert it is still an advertisement like any other and uses very persuasive techniques to make you want a gold iPhone. one main way this is seen as new advertisement, is because this has combined elements of a video game which entertains people.
. How can you recognise this is an old or new sector, what platform/where would you find it, how are adverts presented (ie TV in between programmes, Youtube before a video plays you can sometimes skip?, Pop Ups when you go to a website.
2. What are the differences in how they target their audiences - individual and personal, or based on larger demographics like women's magazine or kids tv channel
3. How do the audience consume these ads differently (see, watch, interact, active or background noise). Is it casual, passing, is it via your phone or device, do you have control over it, do the audience like or retweet or interact with the ad?
What are the differences?
Can you skip it or are you a captive audience?
Task 2 Types of Ads
this is a still image of coca cola zero in this advert we can see that this advert already has it own unique selling point. there are many adverts this day in age that have different selling point such as 3D TVs there the only one's of its kind, there are even many more examples like the iPhone 6 is one of the worlds slimmest phone. coca cola zero has its very own unique selling point. coca cola zero has no calories and tastes like original coca cola. this therefore makes this drink unique and different compared to the rest. this makes consumers have a feel of difference since most products are very similar these products are unique therefore they also have change which makes the product much more popular. as you can see from the still image advert and the video they are completely different and the video advert is much more persuasive. from the effects they have used.
Use their descriptions (DO NOT COPY) or only just link to identify the differences between your ads - one must target a youth audience.
1. Compare and explain how these types are recognisably different.
2. Explain these differences in the 2 examples - refer to specifics ie 'the demonstration ad has a before and after of the product being used, whereas the symbolic advert shows the product as a superhero and the flu/dirt/germs/hunger as a supervillain'
3. Why is this type effective/appropriate in selling/promoting this product to its audience (who are they?)
